Hey guys, quick question... I'm working on a new project and the guy that's singing wanted to bring his AT4040 to track. The 4040 is in great shape and was tested on his gear perfectly. When I plugged it up to my process I get an awful hum at med gain. I am running it thru an ART MPA Preamp and then thru an ART VLA Tube Compressor onto my 002 rack. Do you think it would be the cables? I run my small diaphragm condensers and I get no such hum, but when I throw his in the mix I get a ton esp when I crank it. Could it be a grounding issue??? I'm puzzled..
