My ART MPA Pre amp bit the dust a few years ago and I have another on order. Anybody using the mid side function for acoustics? I use to get good results. I was trying to remember if I still had to duplicate the ribbon track and reverse the phase or once the mid side matrix is switch active, I would just use the two recorded channels?

Yes! I used mid/side on the MPA and it worked very well indeed. The recording comes in as a stereo track. There's no need to use phase correction or anything like that. It just works. I used two CAD Equitek E-200's, which I normally use for vocals, but those mics work on everything.
