Apple's new Garage Band software: Any one used it?

Just wondering if Apple's Garage band is any good before I go pick up a copy. And I can't seem to find out what sample rate and bit depth it will record at. I want to record at 48khz/24bit, just not sure if it can do it.

PS Does anyone have a Gadgetlabs card running with OS X??If so have any problems setting it up?
