Anyone ever try this mic
its not really expensive and i was thinkin of pickin one up
that or the B1

any one got experience with this mic?

I have one of its big brothers, the 420. It has a very hyped high end. It's a little too crisp for my tastes. It's OK on acoustic guitar. On vocals, you have to be careful of Sssss's and P pops.

I've heard the B1{studio partener has one} and it really doesn't sound that bad at all.I liked it better than the MLX V67 he used previously..I think he was usein' a Mackie ..appilcation was female vox ..I think he paid like $100.00 for it ..Don't know anything about the Apex

I have used the 430 very extensively. In fact, I sold an NT2 and an AT4033 because I personally liked the 430 just as good or better. Of course, I have access to many many mics now at the studios I work with...but the 430 is the only LD condensor I own right now. I do borrow an NT2 from time to time though, as well as a TLM 103 or an AKG Solidtube. But for my home stuff, I enjoy the 430.
