I've got a modest-sized room that I am turning into a studio space--but it will also double, occasionally, as a guest room. I've got enough ambient noise around that I really would benefit from an isolation booth. The booth can be very small since it's just me and my guitar. The thing is, I need to be able to quickly take it down and stow it when the room is used as a guest room. So it can't be any sort of permanent construction....
Anyone ever heard of or built anything like this?
Alternatively, can anyone advise me on simpler approaches, e.g. movable half-walls or baffles? I've thought about picking up a couple of those 2" thick half-height foam core walls used for office cubicles and reconfiguring the space that way, but I don't know if they measure up acoustically.
Any thoughts? TIA
