Anyone Know how to build a Diffusor, or buy on the cheap?

Hi, I'm planning on adding bass traps and 703 to my control room and tracking rooms using the advice of Mr. Ethan Winer. I was planning on using 4 Auralex T-Fusors on the back wall of the control room BUT i just found out there $45 each. YIKES! That seems like a lot for molded plastic. Anyway, I read that it's possible to get the same effects using plywood. By "bending" the plywood and attaching to the back wall this acts like a diffusor.
Anyone tried this?
How'd it work?
How Much bend should be put on the plywood?
Thickness of plywood?
Opinions?
Should the cavity be filled with 703 or other insulation?
Anyone know of a company that sells diffusors for less that $45 a sq ft.?

Thanks for any help
