im using a guillemot ISIS card , has a main card , daughter board and breakout box. Breakoutbox is connected to the daughter board by a 44pin cable. I was wondering if this type of cable transmits different signals on different pins? eg. The first 4 pins might transmit midi data , the rest different audio channels?? just i think one pin may be faulty causing the me to get a horrible noise through the outs on the breakout box.. Going straight out the line out on the card is fine .. Yet the midi works fine on the breakout box ..tis very weird. But one pin does look slightly turned. And also how common is a cable like this?
cheers all ,

44pin is kind of an odd one. I think you will have to contact Guillemot directly for a replacement. Most breakout boxes use a standard DB25 connector. If the pin is visibly bent, maybe with a pair of fine needle nose plyers you can bent it straight.
