I am in the market for a second more portable practice amp.
My main amp is a Mesa Roadking (version 1), and I love it. But I have the 212 combo which weighs over 100 pounds. I mic it and record with it. Sounds sweet.
But when I want to go to jam with a band, moving it is not practical.
So I am getting ready to buy an avatar 212 cabinet probably next month, and would like to grab a head.
I have played some Randall SS that sound great, but I was wondering if anyone here plays the tube series RH50T, or the MTS series.
If so, give me your thoughts.
My favorite tone is the Recto tone, but since I already have that with the RoadKing (It is a Dual Rectifier), I would like a diferent tone. In the end I may just save up for something like a Mesa DC5 or something, but I am trying to get feedback on what is out there.
