Anyone heard of...

Yeah, I believe my friend has an SM58 knock-off of theirs. Sounds nothing like the shure.
I'm not really experienced enough to be able to tell you exactly what it's lacking, but it just sounds a lot duller than a real 58! Seems like it's harsher up top, and a lot duller in the mids. (Or so it seems to my untrained ears...)
YMMV. This is the 57 knock-off, not the 58 that I've heard.
