Hey I tried PMing you over at the official REAPER forums, but there wasn't a link...?
Anyway, now that you have DrumCore, you should be able to search the web for some MIDI drum loops and save them to a folder on your hard drive. Now insert DrumCore on a track and load the MIDI files you want through REAPER's Media Explorer (or just drag and drop from the folder on your hard drive) DrumCore (and all other VSTis) will read this MIDI data and play it through the plugin.
That should work just fine until schwa/justin/christophe come up with a solution.
