Anybody have any hands-on with Aardvark Q10?

I am new to computer recording, but would like to be able to record a demo quality cd of my band with the possibility of more. With ram and cpu prices falling, I plan on upgrading to a 1.4ghz/266 bus athlon with a ddr board and 512Mb ram (~$325).

I wanted to know if anyone has used the Aardvark Q10 with any success. I like the fact that it has eight xlr or 1/4in inputs because I will end up recording the drums first and adding in the bass, guitar, and vocals later. (I'm the drummer)

I have tried various free version software downloads and really liked protools but I do not like what I have heard about the digi 001 or the amount of xlr ins. The Q10 comes with Cakewalk Pro Audio 9, which by there site seems to be outdated or has very little support. From what I have read on other posts, I will probably upgrade to Sonar if I use their software.

So, anyone have any experience(bad or good) with the Q10?
Should I use the Sonar software or could I use the Q10 with Protools? Sorry for the long post...
