Anybody familiar with the MD416?

I have a Sennheiser MD416 which is resting in the closet most of the time, I kind of forget that I have it. It's design is a work of art.

I was recording a jazzband tonight and the banjo didn't sound bad with a NT3 and a SM57, but I wasn't very happy with the 57's sound, so I took the MD416 and swapped it for the 57.
