Any X windows users out their?

Does any one know of a good software app. for recording in X Windows, preferably knoppix?

Id like to know too- i've been playin with linux a bit lately but a lack of high end software seams to be a prob. I beleive if it'll run in knoppix- it'll run in any of the linux distrubutions- right?

Have you tried ardour ? Its ALSA compatible and looks fine. I am willing to test it as soon as I finish a new setup overhere.

Kremitmusic, yes I think so, I've just tripped upon Knoppix, so far I'm very impressed.

Tuna, I looked all over this weekend and didn't come across this one. I'll goof around with this one next week ...I ran into a few snags with my Knoppix setup this last weekend. Thanks for the great tip!
