I need a les paul style guitar for the studio. Do you think this would be a good guitar with different pickups? Anyone actually own this guitar? Any suggestions. I am on a budget. Also I have played for 15+ years so I am not looking for junk but I aslo dont want a 2,000 les paul

Those Epis are a good value, but you get what you pay for. There many fans of them on this board. At this price point they are as good as anything. I don't know what you're circumstances are. If you can afford more you might consider a used Heritage H-150. A fine guitar for a lot less than an LP.
