any ideas on drop ceilings??

I've been doing alot of research and have found this site to be very informative , anyway i was just wandering if any of you guys had any ideas on drop ceilings as far as treating and keeping transmission downwithout blowing alot of jack on tiles. any thoughts??

I don't understand, do you already have a drop ceiling? In that case, remove the tiles (temporarily), fill joists with insulation, hang drywall on resilient channel, add more insulation, replace tiles

I built my own drop ceiling using muslim wrapped rigid fiberglass (4" of OC 703) -- 2'x4' tiles. Works great.
