Analog Vocoder

Does anybody know of any good analog vocoders? I'm looking for one to play around with but have no clue what models to look for information on and what to look for in used instrument stores.

Thanks for the link. I was actually looking at these but was confused because I thought Roland originally made the VF-11 and I had never heard of MAM.

some of the digital modeling vocoders are decent. still not as good as the real thing though.

that new little korg keyboard has a built in vocoder that seems to work ok... you could look at that.

The Boss SE-50 has some great vocoder presets

i am going to have to disagree.

i never got the se-50 to get me anything good. maybe i didnt try hard enough, but i spent a good day or two on it.

i like the digitech talker better, and frankly i dont think it is very good either.

the orange vocoder plug in is pretty swell... if you can handle that.

The Boss SE70 has a better vocoder than the SE50, but that's still not analog. PAIA makes a pretty good vocoder kit, if you're handy with a soldering iron.

That PAIA website is pretty cool. I like the whole hands on aspect, I think I might have to try out some of their projects. Too bad they don't have plans for multitrack hard disk recorders.
