Amplifying Headphone

Hello! I was wondering if it's possible to amplify an AKG 171 MK II with behringer's microamp HA400. I'm using M-Audio Fast Track (USB), and by putting directly the headphones into it i can't seem to get all the "power" of the phones. I know a tube amp would be better, but does HA400 do the job?

tons of them out there ..... I actually have one and there are dozens and dozens and dozens of them ranging from a few hundred bucks to thousands.

nah .... you're not an audiophile that i've ever noticed. A solid state headphone amp is fine ....... hell, I only happen to have a tubed one and I am an audiophile.

If you want just a tubed headphone amp it'd be the one and it would drive some speakers although at 2.5 watts per channel it's not gonna go very loud I wouldn't think.
Although mine does suprisingly well with only 8.5 watts so who knows?

i dont know what your budget but the sennheisers are great you should buy them
