Ampex AG-440B

Well my tax returns will be in the bank in a few weeks and I'm really thinking I want to buy my first REAL tape machine.

I found an Ampex AG-440B locally, fully functional, 1/4" 2 track, 15ips, w/ MRL tape too!

The price is right. Why wouldn't I want this machine? Anyone have any thoughts?

Hard to say with out knowing the price or condition but I love my 440A. They are great decks, parts are available and if there are problems, the way they were built makes them easier to troubleshoot.
 
price etc

He wants $525, the condition is good, no noticeable headwear, it was even just used by the fella for a project, seems up to snuff.
