Amp with a horn

How would you guys go about miking up a combo amp with a 12inch driver and a horn? Its a Fender KXR 100, which sounds great running a guitar through. I usually place a Studio Projects B1 about a foot in front, and Im fairly happy with the sound, it picks up the sound from the horn and the driver, but It means its next to impossible to track with anything else, as the mic picks up way too much bleed if there is another instrument playing in the room.

any suggestions?

Yep, grab a mic and monitor in your headphones while you move the mic around. Go out of the room monitoring then record and check the recorded sound. Continue until your happy. Then mix the recorded sound with other instruments and be extremely dissapointed when the guitar is swallowed up completely by the mix. EQ as much as you need to finish the mix, check the EQ'ed sound of the instrument and remember it when tracking the guitar the next time. Main thing is listen then remember and adjust next time. Repeat until you learn.

Well, that's just the way I had to learn.
