i have this old TEAC condenser mic from the 70's, and i threw it in front of my kick today, and it sounded punchy! like a built in compressor or something. very punchy. i'll try and get an mp3 up somewhere...but its the best kick sound i've had so far. better than a 57. and i'll try to get a pic of the mic too. its a weird mic
