Alesis M1 Active 520 monitors?

So im looking for a pair of studio monitors that are affordable. I was wondering about the Alesis M1 Active 520's. They seem to be the best bang for the buck spec wise. Does anyone have anything to say about them good or bad? Im not able to go to the music shop to try them out because i am away from home and will be for a while longer. Thank you.

ALESIS is "not" known for making monitors.

Suggest you look at KRKs or Events [a step up].

I had an early pair of Alesis passives--not really much in them.

KRKs, I also had a passive pair and when I upgraded, sold them in a few days with no problema.

BTW: When you buy monitors, if you save the boxes you will save money when you sell them/ship them. Be aware that YOUR shipping costs will be greater than a vendor's shipping costs; thus, make sure you adjust the price.
