Least weekend I recorded drumtracks with my band using 2 AKG SC300B with CK91 cardioid condenser capsules as overheads in XY position. We used the basic 4 mic setup on the drumset (2 overheads. 1 bassDrum and 1 snare mic). And I was surprised how accurate and clear they were. My drummer has a 15 cymbal and 8 piece drumkit and I was stunned to see that we could hear each piece of thekit. Anymay my point is that I would like to get recommendations and advices frome people who used these mikes and know them well because its the first time I used them and I'll maybe have a deal on 3 of them for 100$ (CAN) wich I think is an awesome deal! Are they a good value? What do you think?
