I'm just starting to look for some decent mics to start recording with, and I already have a pair of AKG CK-80's with GN15 capsules, which I have used for shotgun mics on my dvcam, and I was wondering, would those do for overheads?
I don't really have the time to experiment until our planned recording date, so i'm curious if anybody has ever used these for mic'ing drums before?
What should I look into for overheads that are under $200 each, if these won't do?
