I got an Audix D6 for Christmas yesterday, which is pretty damned awesome.
After playing around, I found that the best sound I got was with the mic mounted inside the drum, using a tom arm and a clamp hanging from the bass drum bracket. I used a reso without a hole.
However... That means that I'm using one less tom than I'd like.
I searched for the May micing bracket, but apparently you can't buy the bracket by itself anymore, you have to get it WITH a mic.
Does anyone know of other internal micing bracket type things, or anything that could EASILY be converted into something that works?
