advantages of upgrading software

Right now I'm using Guitar Tracks Pro and I'm considering upgrading my software. I'm looking into buying Sonar 4 studio edition but I'm wondering what he advantages are of upgrading. What will be different about the software? Thanks!

They both use the same audio engine, so sonar won't sound any better. That been said, sonar has unlimited tracks and more effects. You can spend months just learning all of the extras. The kicker is that sonar is great for midi. If you're interested in professional audio recording and composing, then sonar would be right up your alley.
