Adobe Auditions Mixdown = silence?

So when I go to mixdown my project all I get is silence. It creates a file and goes through all the steps, and when it loads it in edit view their is just an empty waveform. Any ideas? Also, it may be unrelated but I've been having this crackling sound in multitrack view (not in edit view for some reason). I tried increasing the buffer on the ASIO card to 512 on in and out but that didn't help. Thanks guys!

you sure you're selecting all the audio you need to mixdown...and make sure it's not muted...

Do you mix down to "file" or "empty track?" I always use empty track, save it as a file and if satisfied with the results, delete it from the session.
