ADAT XT tips?

I just bought the 20 bit ADAT XT off of ebay. The thing works well and looks like it has the ability to set locate(auto stop) . On the Blackface you needed a BRC to do that and I was wondering how to access those features. I was also wondering how to do punch ins on the XT as well. Would a sustain pedel from a key board work? Any other tips are welcome.

Regarding the punch-in pedal, I know that a keyboard-type sustain pedal will work with a newer HD24, not sure if it will work with a XT20. Plug one in and find out... it probably will work. I use a Tascam porta-studio-type punch-in pedal with mine.
