I've played and owned one. Pretty much bullet proof, with the graphite top and lyrachord back. If you are plugging in for performance, it will do the job adequately. However, make no mistake, it doesn't sound like an all solid wood guitar acoustically, and it won't open up, or age like one either. It's just another tool, and depending on your expectations, it might be the right tool for the job. Personally, I love the tone of an all solid wood acoustic guitar, so my 6 string of choice is a Martin, my 12 string a Taylor, and my nylon string a Yahama. Just my $.02 :)
 
Great live gig guitars.
Lousy recording guitars.

I used to play Ovations when I was giging,because the necks were easy on my hands over four hours and they were darn near close to feedback proof.

Putting the mic to it,well...
