I just got myself a 3 band EQ circuit for the EMG pickups in my bass and by crikey WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MAKES!
It has a sweepable mid, bass & treble boost/cut, pan etcetc and it sounds AMAZING. It also means I can dispense with the EQ on my amp which I have always found to be undesirably noisy. You can even alter the frequencies that the treble control affects although I havent had a chance to play around with that bit yet...
