Acoustical stuff for travel...

Much of the recording i do (or at least hope to be doing) involves on location work. Are there portable products to assist in fixing the acoustically challenged room (or can something be built - i.e. would a piece of wood with acoustical foam do anything - what about the Markertek sound blankets? what if they're hung from mic stands in strategic places? or should i just close mic everything {not always possible, especially during a live recital})

I would get stuff like the MaxWall but its way over my budget - is there anything similar for a LOT less?

Thanks

I'm sure you could build your own "max wall" for a whole lot less. See the Sayers info on the SAE site (been linked a zillion times...) and construct your own with some lumber, plexiglass (if needed..) and rigid fiberglass insulation. It shouldn't be to hard to make in smaller, transportable sections.

DIY dude!
