Just a quick "howdy" to at least say how happy (actually, elated) I am with this tube ribbon from Chance's group buy. Since I got it today, I haven't afforded it the 24-hour burn-in time, and while I wasn't going to even try it out until tomorrow, I couldn't wait. I don't have any sound bites to play, but I want to say the following:
1) The photo on Chance's page did not do it justice -- it's a beauty (and has a bowed-backside like the Fathead II).
2) My jaw dropped when I saw how little juice I had to pump to get a full wave.
4) It's output is like a condenser -- no kidding.
4) My jaw dropped, again, when I realized how little noise there was. It's really, really quiet.
5) Simply amazing.
6) Surpassed my wildest expectations.
7) My jaw rarely drops...except when I shove food in it.
