ACID Pro vs. Sound Forge?

They're both right around the same price, but what's the biggest difference between the two? I'm looking to record to my Fostex MR-8mkII, then send that to the computer for further processing/development of tracks, toward ultimately having a complete song.

sound forge is an audio editing/mastering software. acid is more for like putting music loops together. but i think with the new version 6 of acid you can multi track record but not with the older versions. i use both. i love sound forge. haven't gotten 9 yet but i'm saving up for it... if you want something to record with, go with acid although there are better programs out there like sonar and cubase that are meant for recording... but its all you...
