a weird bug...

Sometimes, when I start up my multitracker (It used to be CEP... now its Vegas...) I get slow playback. I dont know when it is going to happen... It just happens sometimes...
If I shutdown my computer and reboot, then my playback is normal...
I used to think that this was a CEP problem... Then I switched to Vegas and it is still happening. Is it a Windows 98 problem or a WAVE 8*24 problem? Anyone have this happen???

What exactly do you mean by "slow" playback? Stuttering...delayed...anti-chipmunk?

Regarless, sounds like a Windows/driver problem. Try completely uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for your soundcard (check for newer versions on the net too).

The speed and pitch were too low... I just d/l'ed new drivers and installed them yesterday... We'll see if It keeps up.
I also just installed a buttload of new audio software... We'll see just how stable my system is... (win98)
P.S. If you happen to have a copy of NT laying around, maybe we could work out a trade...
