My friend is offering to sell her laptop for $700, the specs as much as i gather is a 15gig HD, 640mb of memory, G3 600mhz, wireless card, 12" screen, dvd-player. Plus i should be getting an external 40gb hd and a external cd-rw burner which i wouldn't even use. But the 40gb HD will be put inside the ibook and 15gb would be external.
Only thing I'm worried is how well would it run reason? no other program would be running at same time. I would probably figure out a way to sync reason/ibook to protools on my PC computer to use the transport. having a laptop with out using my PC for reason to play the piano would be nice to have, plus be used for school work.
So for $700 think its a good deal? still under warranty.
