A/D Converter or another audiophile?

Hey Guys,

I currently have an Audiophile 2496 connected to my Mackie 1202 mixer. I've been meaning to purchase the necessary stuff to get 4 tracks going at once for a while.

I don't have any digital stuff to use the Spdif connections on the audiophile, so I'm wondering:

Should I get a Art Dio A/D converter so I can use those spdifs......OR should I get another Audiophile, and use the other 2 analog inputs on that for a total of 4?

This might not be the right section...but what does everyone still think of the MXL v67 condenser for vocals/guitars?

Thanks!

m-audio makes a 4 in-4 out card. Just get that. using an extra pci slot for this is a waste.

Thanks Fairview. I know about the Delta 44...but I don't really wanna put out the extra cash when I already have the audiophile.

You would be looking at around $150 just for the ART DI/O.

At $220 .... it's hard to pass up a Delta 1010LT.
Sell the 2496 and that brings the total cost of the 1010LT down by whatever you get for the 2496. :D

You can also sync the LT to the AP via s/pdif for a total of 10 analog ins
