A couple of questions about 703 and making your own traps

1. If I want to make 4" thick traps for low end absorption, and I can only find 2" in my area, can you stack the 2" together to make the 4"? It seems logical, but is there some reason why it won't work?

2. As a backer board for the traps, does the type of board matter? Can I use MDF, plywood, particle board, wafer board? Does it matter?

Yes.

The best backing is no backing. If you must use a backing make it from 1/8 inch plywood or Masonite. Even better is cardboard.
