I have a couple of 880EXs with non-backlit displays.... really hard to read unless you get just the right angle. The manual says that the 880 should sit flat, or at least not at an extreme angle. Any idea what an extreme angle is? It would be helpful to be able to tilt them slightly to make the display more readable. ANy help is appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Oldie,

There is an auto-locator made by Quicklok for your 880. It will run you between $100-125 new, I believe. It will allow you set the machine at virtually any height as well as any angle. Well worth the money, in my opinion. Also, you referred to 880EX's. They are all backlit. You must have 880V-expanded models, which were not backlit. There was the original 880. The 880 V-expanded and the 880-EX. I have no idea why Roland used the last two as it has caused no end to confusion among buyers, sellers and users.

My very best to you,
NattyB
