Hi,

I am looking to upgrade my adat inputs. I currently use a Presonus Digimax LT (occasionally as a mic pre, but mostly as a converter).

What would be a good upgrade for an adat converter?

Thanks...

how much are you trying to spend?

Lynx came out with a new stand alone converter 8 ins and outs runs about 2K

or you can look for used Lucid8824 new they are about 2K and there old so i'd imagine you could find one in the low 1K range

Well...I'd like to find a REALLY nice one for $5. Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to happen... ;)

Seriously, I'd like to keep it under a Grand if I can (unless, of course, there is a noticable difference by spending a tad more).

Thanks.

Ditto on the Lucid 8824. I've seen them gor for slightly more than $1,000 on eBay. Also consider the RME ADI 8 Pro, the 48k model not the DS 96k model. They're about $1,300 or so new, slightly less than a grand on eBay. Very nice mid-level converters, 8 AD and 8 DA.
