$600 range analog Comp

Hi there. Someone please give me some ideas of which analog comp I should go for... budget is around $600 range..
My current system is Mackie VLZ, with Cubase with bunch of plug ins and no other out boards. and I do live recording with Drums Gt. Key, Vox. for Fusion and Rock stuffs

I'm feeling like I need analog comp for my drums, and I have mics (Apex) for all the drums and x2 OH.

Good Budget Compressor Ideas

-FMR RNC (stereo/2-ch., 1 set of controls) for $175.

-dbx 160X (mono) usually for $200-$250 on eBay. Can be cool on snare and kick in you like the dbx sound.

-Aphex 651 Expressor (mono) for around $200 on eBay. It's good just stock, but if you need a high-quality transparent compressor, the Audio Upgrades mod for $140 would be a good way to go.

-I'm sure Drawmer has some stuff you can probably get on eBay to try, but I've never used anything by them. Anyone know which Drawmer compressor and/or limiter units would be good to try out?

-Anyone out there ever try the SPL DynaMaxx? I've also been wanting to try the SPL Transient Designer too... I will eventually.
