I have a vocalist who just purchased a Nady ear monitor. The mixer we're currently using is an old Neotek, and it does not have any aux or monitor outputs, mainly because it's a recording console. So we're unable to hook up her ear monitor to our Neotek. We do have a four track though...
I was thinking, is there some way to use the 4 track to use for her vocals, have her ear monitor plugged into the 4 track somewhere and then somehow get the 4 track's signal into the Neotek so we can all hear her? I was thinking to send the ouput of the 4 track into a line input channel on the mixer? Would that even work??
We then use the Neotek's control room out signal to go to a headphone amp that we all listen through w/headphones.
I know the ultimate answer is to purchase a mixer with aux/monitor outs...we're just not quite there yet.
