2488 & Midi

Can any one confirm if the 2488 neo can transmit MIDI data to a DAW? Not just transport control, I'm talking about volume & pan info etc

I've read through the implementation chart and its got a yes for transmitting MIDI data but I can't get it to do so.

Is the transmitted MIDI data only for SMF playback?

Any replies gratefully recieved

No, the 2488 can receive such information but does not transmit it. This means you cannot use it as a control surface for a computer DAW.
 
Thanks for the clarification.
I've figured out how to record the MIDI data into Cubase from my Keyboard while connected to the 2488. Sadly its only one track at a time. Means I can automate the mix but it can be time consuming.
