    Seck mixers?

hi folks, sorry to dig out this thread 2 years after, better than creating a new one anyway, am I right? has any of you ever seen or used a 12x8x2 SECK, like this one: This mixer, smaller than the 18x8x2, really seems to fit what I want to do (monitor in and out my TSR8). I'm just wondering...

    Tascam M 216 Mixer

different place, same story great deal actually! :) today I'm in the same situation as Randal last week: I've been watching eBay for several months, looking for a board to fit with my TSR-8. I'm so desperate that yesterday I bid on a M-208 in NY (120$ shipping, I'm in France  )...

M-30 vs. M-208, what should I choose? (can't afford both)

oops. had forgotten about this manual (which I already thanked you for :D , I should have remembered). I quickly went through it once again, and: can't believe how teachfull this manual is (chapter about dB, and everything). I'm quite young and astonished about how these guys used to rule...

M-30 vs. M-208, what should I choose? (can't afford both)

thanks! guess you mean "with the M-208"? :) or maybe 308? both are local pickup... but I won't be the one to pick it up (a friend will). both seem in good condition. I lied, there's a slight difference in price (100 vs. 120€, both cheap for me, but huge difference with your crappy dollars :p )...

M-30 vs. M-208, what should I choose? (can't afford both)

hi there folks, sorry to go again with that question. I actually did some thread research on this forum, and found usefull information about mixers and so on (thx to all contributors!), but I also noticed that "what mixer should I use with..." questions are coming back again and again...

RM 408 - do you mount your TSR-8 to a rack system?

   ;) nice setup Jean-Pierre! thanks for these pics. I like the koala. looks like a flip-system from vertical to horizontal and back... usefull enough. err, but how did you mount these "two pieces of bent metal" with the TSR? did you take advantage of the existing screws...

RM 408 - do you mount your TSR-8 to a rack system?

ok. you confirm what I was guessing. knowing that ("protruding forward a tiny bit"), my next step is: how to mount the unit in a closing case? how to deal with this tiny bit? well I think I'll consider and experiment that question by myself now. let u know if I get to build or buy the thing...

RM 408 - do you mount your TSR-8 to a rack system?

Thanks Beck! :) Let's say thats what I need: a roll-around rack, wherever I have to roll (in and out of a closet, or across the street, with great care to avoid shocks). however I still can't figure out how the unit fits in a rack, considering that the tape rolls "oversize" the unit itself...

hi there folks, If I may throw a couple of questions to the community... Do any of you have ever mounted their TSR-8 (or another reel to reel recorder with the same size) to a rack system? I don't own a studio, I work in the flat where I live with my wife n baby. Which means: I have no...

TASCAM M-30 M30 manual in pdf

Cjacek you rule! This is helping a lot, especially the block diagramm. I'm kind of a wannabee in the analog world (own TSR-8, looking for M30 or M308), made my decision to switch to radical analog very short time ago, but man!! I'm sooo glad I did. First: look at this block diagram! what a...
