Popping noise when burning mixes to cd

Yes. 16 bit 44.1K wav files It's XP. A little research seems to indicate that it is indeed a media player issue. Wav files with any type of summary information attached to them seem to confuzzle the burner. I found this in another forum, and although I'm using Cubase instead of SoundForge...

Popping noise when burning mixes to cd

The pops are there when the cd is played back on any cd player. I may have to look into using something else to burn with, but I like media player. I'm used to it, and I've never had an issue until I got this new pc. Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm going to go peruse the windows site...

Popping noise when burning mixes to cd

Ok, back to square one. The drive was set to "fastest", so I reset it to 16X. Same pop - it happens when the track changes on the burnt cd. Track one ends, and the instant that the playback device switches to the next track - a static-y POP! It happens at the start of every track, no matter how...

Popping noise when burning mixes to cd

I'm pulling my hair out here - I'm getting an annoying pop on my mixdown burns, right when the track changes, i.e. the pop occurs in the space between songs. It's being introduced when I burn - there's no popping on the tracks themselves. Anyone have an ideas on how to make these pops go away...

    Ibanez tube screamers

My TS9 died (footswitch went out), so I went to get another one and ended up buying the Turbo model. It's basically a normal TS9 with three more stages of boost. I love it - I set it in normal mode for the humbuckers, and then just click it up a gear for the single-coils. It was about $12 more...

    AudioTechnica AT3035

Thank you for the replies, and especially for the links. It's difficult to get any sort of consensus about anything as variable as a "good mic", and I understand that. Much of what is required is an ability to read between the lines, and I'd like to think that I'm improving in that aspect...

    AudioTechnica AT3035

I'm considering this mic as an "entry-level" LDC, to be utilized primarily for vocals. I've got a basic home set-up - a Firepod and a PC. I've got a bunch of dynamics (57s and 58s), we use them in our live shows and they work well for micing guitars and drums, but we'd like to have something...

    James Burton

Old blackface Fenders for amplifiers. Deluxe Reverbs, Twins, and sometimes a Music Man as well. On the old Ricky Nelson stuff it was a Fender Vibrosonic with a 15" JBL speaker. MXR-90 phaser and an analog delay for effects, sometimes with a Small Stone. The majority of his Telecasters feature...
