I've got a Delta 66 and i'm looking to add an input to my setup (because who would want 4 when they could have 5/6?)
Around $100 or less, I'm not looking for anything stellar, my setup is pretty low end (berhinger/apex/ect..)
Infact, It doesn't need to have a preamp, just convert to S/PDIF...
Wow. It's quite a step up from my shitty dynamic mic's that I've been using. I now see the light. But unfortunately I now have to build a vocal booth since my live room is wayyy to reflective.
But I'm very impressed with this mic, I'm starting to love hearing my own voice now, I stuck it...
Sunday I sat down in my 'studio' with my band and recorded 4 songs.
Not too terriable.
Equipment:
2x Nady Dynamic Mics
2x Karma Micro
Fender Delux (I loved it) (with some cheap pedals infront of it)
Mexican Telecastor
Some Ampeg Combo
Some cheap bass
Epiphone Dot Archtop
Berhinger Mixer...
I figure this is a noobie question with an odvious answer, so lets go.
Sunday I recorded 4 songs in ProTools of my band. We got down the rythm/lead/bass (all recorded at the same time, and yes direct, I planned on rerecording guitar though). We went through them all pretty well, played them...
I've been saving my pennys and have finaly reached $300. Finaly. Now on with the question, what do you guys recomend for decent tube amp around my price? It needs to be loud enough for a band practice (my PA is barley enough for vocals) and my style of music is pretty large, I mainly play...
What do you use? What style of music? What size?
go go go.
edit:
For me: D'Addario 10's for practice, Ernie Ball 10's for gigs
I love the feel/sound of ernie ball's but they break to easy. I've tried thicker strings but my locking tuners don't seem to hold on to well to 13's

I've got about 100 tickets to sell for my band's gig at Peabodys (JULY 23rd). $8 a ticket plus like a buck for shipping, I think it'd be a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and plus the more we sell the better position, and it'd be pretty awesome to have some home recording junkies scream...
Finaly my band got a real gig besides playing at parties/schools
more info
So thoes in the cleavland area ;) Feel free to come.
Now i've gotta write some songs, ugh.

Greetings HR, you've all been pretty awesome as a resource even if I rarley start a thread,

Now, hold you're breath, im using some nice, uh...
Written by David Grohl when he was with Nirvana
Ignore:
- Singing (im 14, I recorded it at 1 am)
First time I actualy sat down with ProTools and did something useful, used a NADY mic with a Behringer mixer, the two forigen devils, and a $200 guitar jacked directly into the mixer, considering...
What hardware do you CuBase guys use, I've been using a Delta 66 in ProTools and honestly, im not happy with it
Anyone with the 66 use CuBase?
(internet searches have failed me)

Greetings,
Over the weekend my Dad and I have been building a (very) small studio in the utility room of our house, need to do the walls/insulation/another piece of glass (broke one of them)/electrical/audio connections/painting/molding
but it's a start right?
Glass very very translucent...
I'm 14, I run a 4-track (Delta 66) Protools (thankyou m-audio) studio in my basement, it's a little crude but no one else can do what I can at my highschool (well not as good as I can), I'm a musician, I fumble around with drums and I can play some decent guitar
What I really want to know is...
I havw two systems (2.6ghz HT, 200gb+) systems for home recording. One currently does just video editing/capturing and the other does gaming. I would like to add a PCI card to one of these to record multiple tracks at the same time.
Best over 2 input cards?
