    Record live audio from midi?

Yeah, I was avoiding that out of fear of creating some kind of feedback loop, but I can give it a shot. I know you can setup output and input busses, and I have those setup, but it won't let me use the audio from the output bus as an input form the track. I'll just keep trying. Would like to...

    Record live audio from midi?

Sorry. I want to be able to play a vst synth and record the audio output of it to a fresh audio track within the same session in Acid in real time. Not sure if it's possible without some kind of external interface.

Does anyone know if it's possible to record live audio to a fresh track from a midi instrument in real time? I'm running a simple dell laptop with stock audio drivers. In Acid 7...

    Headphone mix Acid 6

I'm using Acid 6.0 with the new Tascam US2000 interface and I need to figure out how to dial up a headphone mix but only with certain inputs routed to the headphone mix. Acid doesn't seem to have anything specifically for setting up a headphone mix. Maybe I'm wrong. Basically, say I'm basic...

My band going live on national TV

Very good indeed brother. Nice work and congradulations. I must mention however that there's already a band called NON that are considered one of the first pioneers of what's commonly known now as industrial music...just a heads up.

    An LP I just finished

Hey dudes, this'll be a little different from a single mp3, but fuckit. This is an LP by a good friend of mine who calls himself Kalvakota. He writes all his own stuff, and plays about 90% of it...virtually all instruments. I mixed it and play a lot of lead guitar on it. It's already...

Help me decided on a new studio name.

I say keep Hell Hole studios. I looked at the list and immediately it was the first one I could most easily remember. Primarily because of the Spinal Tap song.

    acid pro 6 Help

Man, I'm so with you. Acid has gotten completely forgotten about it seems within the tsunami of other programs, but I'm still stuck on it, especially on 6 because it now does an awful lot of stuff it never did before. I mix bands in Pro Tools, but if I'm personally making any music whatsoever...

    acid pro 6 Help

Seriously? By default on mine, the mouse wheel squashes the tracks down vertically. I'll have to switch that around because it would be insanely helpful to me. I hate having to grab the bar everytime to zoom in. Sounds picky, but it's a pain. I guess I never dove into setting up hotkey stuff.

    acid pro 6 Help

I think the mouse wheel squeezes the tracks down to fit them all onto the screen in a vertical fashion. If you want to zoom in on something, grab the edge of the toolbar at the bottom and move it around. I'm with cello pudding. I fucking love Acid. Especially for writing.

    Mono Mixing In Pro Tools

If you're listening for phase issues on Pro Tools, make sure you know about the Waves Paz analyzer. It's really helpful for shitty phase relationship. Google it.

how do you write a bridge? Song structure in general?

For some reason, everytime I think about bridges, I think of Ozzy's Crazy Train. I guess it was the first song on which the concept clicked with me. It's that A major down to F# minor thing. Actually, that's a very old, yet super good trick. It's like...one and a half step down key change...

    Programming Subtractive Synths

Learn the basic concepts and then go from there. That's my advice. I learned on the Moog Modular which was cool because it was easy to grasp all the routing especially for learning purposes. http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Underground/2288/2ansynth.htm

    PG57 Mic - Vocal?

My two cents... Spend the extra $50 or whatever to get an SM instead of PG. In my experience, the PG58's are complete garbage.
