    Fender Noiseless PUPs

My L-280's replaced the delta tone pickups in my '99 American Standard Strat. I got them for same reason as you, I record direct also. I really the L-280's will work perfectly for you.

    Fender Noiseless PUPs

I know what I'm about to say has been overly discussed and argued about in many guitar forums across the internet but I feel compelled to post it anyway so here it goes. You are looking for a noiseless (absolutely no 60 cycle hum) single-coil sized pickup that sounds like a traditional Fender...

New recording - cover of Soulshine

I redid the lead guitar track to make it sound more like Duane Allman and Warren Haynes (of Gov't Mule) I think it turned out pretty well. Any comments?

New recording - cover of Soulshine

This is a cover of Soulshine (Allman Bros./Gov't Mule) I don't think I did the song justice but I gave it a try anyways. I'm pretty happy with the mix, I finally got that bass guitar frequencies under control (with a Bass PODxt.) As always I recorded everything direct to my PC via a Delta...

    Spectrum Analyzer

Holy Sh*t! I just realized that Sekd Sonoscope I found costs $300 to register... I guess I'll just have to keep looking. kylen, I want a spectrum analyzer so that I can "see" what is going on in specific frequencies (mainly for bass, kick drum, and low end on guitars.) I just played...

Yorkville YSM1p or BX8 Studiophile Monitors

I'm trying to decide between these two monitors as I should have enough money to buy one after I sell my PODxt (If that will ever happen...) Anyways, they both have a lot of the same features but one thing that concerns me is the accuracy of the bass. I'm already leaning more towards the...

    Spectrum Analyzer

Thanks for the post! I think I found one (at least for the next 20 days...) It's SEK'D Sonoscope Some of it's features are: 32 Bit digital engine, FFT resolution can be from 256 - 65536 points (anything over 8192 seem useless for what I'm doing), Octave band display (spectrum) of 1/1, 1/3...

    Spectrum Analyzer

The Spect Analyzer in the audio testbench wouldnt even work, said something about a missing file... That SpectR-Pro is the plug I tried at brainspawn, it's close but not quite what I'm looking for, If it wasnt a plugin it might work for me. Thanks for the links though, please keep them coming!

    Spectrum Analyzer

Does anyone know of a good spectrum analyzer? It can be software, but I'm not looking for a plug-in type. I would like for it to run on its own. I would perfer 31 or 66 bands. I found one called SpectR-Pro, like the look of it but it doesnt act smooth and I have to use it as a plugin in...

Another Bass PODxt Mp3 Remix - This Time Hardrock/Metal

This is a song I wrote a while back called Believe, it's kind of hard-rock/metal. I did away with the bass guitar track and totally rewrote a new one (the old one was only four notes played over and over, this new one I riffed the bass all to hell ;) ) I set the Bass PODxt to a Fender Dual...

First try using a Bass PODxt, opinions wanted

Thanks Toki987, I understand what your saying, I'll keep that in mind. CanopuS, First I made the drum track with a Zoom RT-323 machine, then I made the rhythm guitar tracks with my Les Paul copy through a Fender Cyber-Twin amp. One thing I did with the rhythm guitar track that has the tremolo...

First try using a Bass PODxt, opinions wanted

I remixed my cover of Robin Trowers "In My Dream" with a new bass track. It took me days to dial in this sound on a Bass PODxt. I'm hoping that the bass track sits better in the mix now and has a more solid feel to it. I'll post the original version (which I used a J-Staion and SansAmp Bass...

    My first MP3 demo

I agree with Sonixx, I had the same problem when starting out. I found that applying various reverbs (I use DSP-FX AcousticVerb) to the individual tracks really helps to open it up and makes those synths sound more realistic (especially on drum tracks.)

and anotha one....with LIVE INSTRUMENTS too!

Rap usually ain't my cup of tea but I found myself enjoying this one. Atleast it had a nice guitar riff in it. The mix sounded very good, had alot of bass as this type song should. It sounded very good and clear, thumping through my Aiwa stereo system. Nice job!
