Pickup question: How similar are the Dimebucker and the Bill Lawrence l500xl?

I'm trying to nail the Dookie tone, but Bill Lawrences are hard to come by, and I was wondering if the Dimebucker would work just as well

Question: Is a 30-watt amp head going into a 2x12 cab good enough for medium-sized gigs?

I'm a singer/guitarist and I have a Friedman mini 30-watt amp head, I'm looking to buy a 2x12 for punk gigs, and want to know if that would be loud enough for a ~350-person venue. I'll be keeping up with a drummer and a bassist. I have a 1x12 for garage rehearsals but I'm looking for some...

I'm playing guitar for a high school play, but I don't think my punk amp settings are gonna fit in with the 50s theme. I'd love some pointers or Treble/Mids/Bass/Gain settings.

Does anyone know what amp settings Billie Joe Armstrong used for 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours??

I like his unique tone for 39/Smooth, and I can't seem to get the right tone on my Peavey VYPYR X1. I use a Squier Stratocaster with a Seymour Duncan JB Jr. Here are some examples of the tone I'm chasing.
