    I have narrowed it down to three pre's: Avalon vt737sp $1800 Focusrite Red 8 $1700 Great River ME-NV1 $1000 I was thinking of buying the avalon but a couple of people told me not too. (I do mostly rap, and a little RnB) I Want thick warm clear vocals

    RODE NTK / Voicemaster Pro or Great River ME-1NV

    What am i hearing. The Voicemaster vs the great river is like a corvette vs a ferrari . . . yeah right! more like a Honda vs a Lexus. The great river is based on the "NEVE 1703" (one of the most used and sought after pre's) but with way less noise. The warth the great river give's you cannot...

    best pre under $2000

    If i were you i would buy the avalon vt737sp $1800 for hip hop a great pre(snoop, puff, + many more use it). I am buying it next month.
