    Rap song

At least you fixed the kick. It overall sounds better. As far as rap sounding good with live instruments? It depends on what you think, it's your music don't worry about what other people think. If you like it then that's good enough.

First recording session! please could i get some feedback?

If you're trying to go for a professional sound then you've missed the mark. If you link me a song (from a band that you or the band likes) that you're trying to get the mix close to, I'll try to give some feedback. Honestly, it sounds like there's a lot of issues in the way the instruments...

    Rap song

You can get a good sounding kick with an SM57. It might not be a real sax but that's what its supposed to sound like (or some kind of woodwind instrument). The acoustic guitar sounds like it basically only has higher end frequency which kind of doesn't work here because the instrumental is so...

    Rap song

Production is weak. The kick drum has no bass. The lead saxophone riff is a bit loud. The acoustic guitar sounds too thin.

Put a lot of work into this one, need yo help!

I noticed this too. I think it will get fixed more so after mastering. But anyways, I like how you tagged it jeff buckley/radiohead. Parts of the vocal melodies definitely remind me of Jeff Buckley and even some guitar work. I can also hear Yorke influences in your voice, the way you conceal...

    Ambient/Post-Rock Track

This was the first time I didn't amp my bass. I actually rolled back the tone knob on the bass while recording the bass (something I probably shouldn't have done) because it was conflicting with the other mid-rangey stuff like the lead riff and the synths. I should have just taken any mid-range...

    Ambient/Post-Rock Track

Yeah, I did the editing haha. The only pedal I used was a fuzz pedal at the end, which is a Way Huge Swollen Pickle. This is the first time I didn't even amp my guitar or really use any pedals, I just plugged my guitar directly into my interface. It's a fast method than allowed me to lay out...

    Hip-Hop for the evening, F4F

I would say it's a little sparse. The vinyl sim was a bit overkill because of how sparse it was. I would put more samples or a synth in the background or something. I would say add some more samples to the production. Hey OP if you like making music like this you should seriously check out...

Treading New Ground - Mixing Acoustic Drums and Electronica...

The synth is way too cheesy. I feel like maybe a little distortion on the drums could help.

    Feedback for my new song!

You look and sound like Liam Payne.

    No DAWs Allowed

Even though this is really bad quality, I still enjoy the way it sounds. Lo-fi tape just sounds way better than digital lo-fi.

    Rude Riddim (Dubstep/Reggae)

Re-mix it, there's definitely too much high end. Sounds like it's almost coming out of a laptop.

Urgent!! Need help in setting my first home studio

Get a better interface like a Presonus VSL22 or a Focusrite Scarlett which actually have built in preamps. Also get an AT2020 for the mic. I would definitely not put most of your budget towards Ableton if you really make rock music. I use Ableton and I make rock music but if you're really going...

    Post YOUR favourite song!

This one is my favorite because of how difficult it was to make it. The mixing and mastering of it was incredibly hard. So was the composition. It almost didn't get finished. It is definitely my favorite track now. I really like the basswork and the swirling guitar effects.

    Making Recordings Sound as One

Yeah I knew someone would disagree with what I said. Yes, mixing is very important in cohesion, I'm not doubting that at all. More important than mastering. But in my experience, a mix (good or bad) going into mastering will definitely sound more cohesive at the end. But it also depends how you...
