    Please critique this recording...

Thanks for the reply. Yes the kick was turned up and sounds a lot better thanks for that. Also the Audix Mics are really good for toms. It was in my budget at the time and since then I haven't thought to get something else.

Has anybody ever had the pleasure of playing orange county drums??

i have a DW set and I can't complain. It's almost hard to beat the true sound of a DW with the proper tuning, heads, etc... Although an orange county set would be fun if i had about 5 grand to waste. I played on a vented snare last night, and he told me it costed $850. Now that's where I draw...

    how to build gobos?

Hello, Right now I'm in the process of recording my band. But we are having some problems with the echo and reverb of the room being the drums are in a circular cut out in the room. Also there is no real isolation for the vocals except out in the main room. Is there any cheap efficient ways to...

    1st time with multitrack

yeah, have you tried EQing the snare and the toms. Other than that it sounds pretty good. Try giving the snare maybe some small reverb to give it a more lively tone.

    Drum heads (Live)

Hello, My band has a gig coming up this weekend and I haven't had much experience with tesing out different heads and how they each differ live. Best drum set for home studio

best drums. I'm going to go with DW!! I've played several drum sets while recording and I find that the DW's give you the best sound in My opinion. But my second choice would be Premier Signias series or something like that!!

How do you guys tune ur toms?

..The way I tune my heads is very stressfully. I am very impatient to sit there and fiddle with something until it sounds right...so I take the lazy way. I take some toilet paper...about 2 or 3 squares..i fold it up and then put it under the tom. I stick it on with electrical tape and boom my...

    Drum Triggers?

Im thinking about purchasing drum triggers for my toms and snare!! I don't want to run effects through them but I want to make them deeper and more Beasty sounding. i like it!!! going big? ehhh maybe...i don't see much airplay for this kind of music, being radio stations today are worthless and just filled with commercials, have you tried to get your songs on the radio or sent out anything to record companies? you could definitely build a strong fan...
